Monika and Ron

A couple of weeks ago I met up with Monika and Ron in Chicago for their engagement session.  Since it was the beginning of March we decided on the Lincoln Park Conservatory for warmth.  But it ended up being a pretty warm and sunny day so we ended up going outside for a bunch of photos at the nature boardwalk.  Monika and Ron are a great couple and easy to work with. I am so excited to photograph their wedding this coming May!

Katie and Jorge

Katie and Jorge got married on a beautiful fall day this past October.  Their ceremony was held in the gorgeous Baker Memorial Church and their reception was just a few blocks away in the Rainbow Room at Hotel Baker in St. Charles, IL  We did a bunch of bridal party portraits along the fox river and tried to get their puppy in on the action, too!  Jennifer and I had an amazing time working with Katie and Jorge and loved every bit of their wedding. Sara and Ryan

In December I photographed Sara and Ryan’s wedding at Bottom Lounge in Chicago. It was the perfect venue for two music lovers to get married at! I loved the loft style atmosphere of the reception space and the backdrop of the ‘L’ on Lake. They got ready at the Wit downtown Chicago before heading over the Bottom Lounge for their ceremony. Even though it was a little chilly Sara and Ryan were willing to walk a couple of blocks to do some portraits in front of some nearby street art. Alyssa and Adam

We have always had good intentions to keep our blog updated and showcase all the beautiful weddings that we photograph but between wrangling our three awesome boys, all the (MANY) photo shoots this past year, and the work we've done with animal rescue our blog has been neglected.  Over the next couple of weeks we are going to be posting a few of the weddings we photographed this past year and, hopefully, this coming wedding season we will be able to keep things updated a little better!  

Today's post is going to showcase some of our favorite photos from Alyssa and Adam's wedding at Emerson Creek Pottery and Tea Room in Oswego, IL. We love getting some fresh air and photographing weddings that are out in the country.  Emerson Creek is one of our favorite places to shoot as it has a cute bridal coop for getting ready shots, the tented reception area that backs up to a converted shed that's perfect for cocktails, and all the beautiful scenery to take portraits in front of. But more importantly we wanted to share this wedding because Alyssa and Adam are so in love with each other and it was such a joy to photograph their sunny September outdoor ceremony.
