Colton and Val

Colton and Val were originally going to have their wedding back in July and rescheduled for the first weekend in November. Strangely enough we had almost summer-like weather! They had their small outdoor ceremony on a little island on pond at the Smith Horse Farm in Kankakee. It’s no secret that I love backyard weddings and when the client’s backyard is a horse farm I am in heaven! Here’s a few highlights from Colton and Val’s wedding: working for the Smith family again, horses, a sunny AND warm November day, Colton’s cowboy hat, Val’s turquoise necklace, and all the smiles! I knew it was going to be an amazing day when I arrived and the ring bearers were fishing. Congrats to Colton and Val! I had the best time photographing their wedding ceremony!!

Samantha and Kyle

Samantha and Kyle got married this past fall at Morris Country Club. I met up with Samantha at her parent's home for some getting ready shots and the plan was to go to the venue for a first look and bunch of outdoor portraits but by the time we got to Morris Country Club it was pouring rain.  I quickly found a spot to do the first look in the entryway and Samantha and Kyle didn't miss a beat. We grabbed some umbrellas and went outside. We didn't last long out there but still had a grand old time!  The ceremony had to be switched to the reception space but by the time it was done the storm had passed and we were able to go outside and take advantage of the sun and the beautiful landscape! Throughout the day Samantha and Kyle had only smiles and laughter and it was such a joy to be able to capture everything. Take a look at a few of their photos! Allison and Kyle's Wedding

Allison and Kyle had such a sweet wedding a few short months ago.  This couple has GREAT style (I LOVE those Kate Spade heels)  and they had an amazing team of wedding professionals to help pull off their day.  We just loved Allison's bouquet by A Stem Above -- we can't get enough of succulents being incorporated into floral designs! They got ready at the Dana Hotel in Chicago, where we did a few portraits and they had their first look.  From there we went around the city doing portraits with their bridal party.  These two were so fun to work with, and their love for each other - and their obvious enjoyment of each others company -- showed through in their photos.

Allison and Kyle were married at Floating World Gallery and we were thrilled to shoot another wedding there!  It is a great venue!

All the details of the day came together with the help  of Clementine Custom Events who kept everyone on track and were so easy to work with!  We are excited to show you a few of our favorite images from their day!
