Laurel and Neil

A few weeks ago I photographed Laurel and Neil’s wedding at the fabulous Jacob Henry Mansion in Joliet. It was a blustery day but the sprinkling of snow made their outdoor photos look magical! To warm up we finished the bridal party photos next to a fireplace in the mansion. Their ceremony took place in the chapel on site which was followed by cocktails in the mansion and then dinner and dancing in the ballroom. Laurel and Neil were so great to work for! A huge thank you to Rachel Langlois for doing an amazing job photographing with me!

Cayla and Anthony

Cayla and Anthony got married a few weeks ago on chilly but beautiful November day at the Morton Arboretum. They braved the cold and we took a bunch of portraits in nature to catch the last of the fall color. Their intimate ceremony was held in the Gingko room and then the same room was flipped for their reception. It was such a pleasure to photograph the love that Cayla and Anthony have for each other. Jason and Kristina

This past November I was honored to be the photographer at Jason and Kristina’s wedding. Their ceremony was held at Holy Apostles Church in Westchester and their reception was at the Empress Banquets in Addison. I loved that they booked a classic car for their transportation! It offered some fantastic opportunities for night time portraits. Congratulations Jason and Kristina!

Alison and Corey

Alison and Corey had their wedding ceremony at the end of November in the small town of Galien in Michigan. We started the day off with a quick first look and portraits before their guests arrived. Since it was cold out they said their vows inside the restaurant surrounded by all their family and friends. Since they didn’t need to do a room flip they went right into the lunch reception followed by toasts and a cake cutting. To top it off we went out to a Christmas tree farm for some seasonally appropriate holiday photos (and some with a onesie to include their baby-on-the-way). Double congrats to Alison and Corey!!

Colton and Val

Colton and Val were originally going to have their wedding back in July and rescheduled for the first weekend in November. Strangely enough we had almost summer-like weather! They had their small outdoor ceremony on a little island on pond at the Smith Horse Farm in Kankakee. It’s no secret that I love backyard weddings and when the client’s backyard is a horse farm I am in heaven! Here’s a few highlights from Colton and Val’s wedding: working for the Smith family again, horses, a sunny AND warm November day, Colton’s cowboy hat, Val’s turquoise necklace, and all the smiles! I knew it was going to be an amazing day when I arrived and the ring bearers were fishing. Congrats to Colton and Val! I had the best time photographing their wedding ceremony!!
