Kathie and Jes

I had so much fun the other week making wedding portraits for Kathie and Jes! They built a backdrop and wanted to create a more modern studio look for their photos. It was definitely different from my norm as I usually go out into nature for my portraits but I was up for the challenge and I’m really happy how these turned out. Thank you Kathie and Jes for having me create these portraits for you!

Kaitlyn and Justin

I photographed Kaitlyn and Justin’s wedding a couple of weeks ago on a lovely October fall Saturday. I absolutely adore that the first thing we did was take some photos with their adorable puppy Sloane. She was really camera shy and I did my very best to be calm with her and was happy to get a few good ones. Their ceremony was held at the Buffalo Creek Brewery in Long Grove, IL so we took advantage of the beautiful fall scenery for portraits in the area including the Parker Coffin Bridge and the pumpkins set up for the fall fest going on downtown. It was an honor and privilege to photograph their marriage and to be a part of their day. Congratulations Kaitlyn and Justin!!

Mat and Sarah

Mat and Sarah had their wedding ceremony the other week at the gorgeous Rose Garden at Cantigny Park in Wheaton, IL. It was a sweet and intimate ceremony and I’m honored that Mat and Sarah chose me to capture their marriage. After the ceremony we did a few quick photos before heading over to the Cantigny Golf Club for their reception. A couple of highlights of the day were all the beautiful flowers and details everywhere, the sparkler send off, and all of the night time fun with dancing, the photo booth, and shots. Thank you Sarah and Mat for having me be a part of your day. You’re the best!! -Jake

Kaitlyn and Andrew

Kaitlyn proposed to Andrew and he said “yes” of course! I’m so happy Kaitlyn asked me to photograph the moment she proposed to Andrew. I had such a fun time capturing their love and it’s not every day that I get asked to sign as a witness nor is it everyday that I get to photograph my clients peeking out of cornfields, haha. Kaitlyn’s grandparent’s house was the perfect setting for their proposal. I loved every minute of it. Congrats to Kaitlyn and Andrew on their engagement! -Jake
