Manuel and Brandon

One of my favorite things about being a wedding photographer is to be a witness and in the presence of couples who are wildly in love with each other. At Manuel and Brandon’s ceremony I remember thinking how palpable the feeling of love was in that room and how great it was to be present for that. You could feel the energy of support held in the cheers of their family and friends after their first kiss. I can’t forget to mention that they included their dog Lu in their ceremony. Lu had the softest ears and was so cute! Manuel and Brandon were such a joy to photograph and made my job so easy. Congratulations to the happy couple!! - Jake

Allison & Adam

Allison and Adam got married a few weeks ago on a beautiful sunny December morning in Chicago. They got ready at the Crowne Plaza Chicago West Loop and had a first look just around the corner at Mary Bartelme Park. Before they got married we took advantage of the weather and did a bunch of bridal party portraits around Chicago. We started at the Lasalle street bridge for some river scenes and then finished up with some skyline shots next to the Planetarium. Their sweet ceremony was in the pergola and had a delicious brunch reception in the tented room at Galleria Marchetti. It was such a pleasure working for Allison and Adam and their families. Robynn & Matt

Robynn and Matt were so lovely to spend time with during their wedding a few weeks ago. The two of them had a beautiful low-key morning at Villa D’ Citta which they had rented out for their families. They read letters from each other and had the sweetest first look.

We ubered through the city to take portraits at a few of their favorite spots, before coming to Galleria Marchetti. Their ceremony was absolutely beautiful, and everything was personalized exactly for them. We loved the music and their decorations. Emily Rodecker from Five Grain Events made sure that everything was exactly as it should be, and impeccably timed.

It was such a perfect day, and we were so honored to have been able to spend it with Robynn, Matt, and their families.

Rachael and Mike

Rachael and Mike got married a couple of weeks ago at St. Chrysostom’s Church in Chicago. One great thing about church weddings in Chicago is that they are all gorgeous old buildings with interesting architecture and character. St. Chrysostom’s fits that description! Before their sweet ceremony we went around the city to do some portraits with the bridal party. We started at Newberry Library/Washington park, then over to North Ave beach for a few skyline shots, and finished up at the Chicago History Museum steps. Their reception was held at one of my favorite venues in Chicago: Galleria Marchetti. Everything went smoothly and I had such a pleasure being a part of Rachael and Mike’s wedding. Thank you to Nicholas Holstein for helping me as second photographer for the day!
