Julie and Mike

Julie and Mike had their wedding right in the heart of downtown Chicago at the wonderful Hyatt Centric this past October. Their ceremony took place under a beautiful canopy of flowers and then their room was flipped to host their reception. Right after the ceremony I took Julie and Mike out on the street for some night shots in the middle of all the hustle and bustle of Michigan Avenue. The look that Mike gave Julie as he saw her walk down the aisle was priceless. Thank you Julie and Mike for having me photograph your wedding day!

Mary and Billy

Mary and Billy got married this past October at one of the most amazing venues in Chicago that I’ve been at called the Joinery. It’s full of charm and unique features that you won’t find anywhere else in the city. I could have easily done all of the bridal party portraits at this location alone. It was a hot October day but Mary and Billy took it in stride and were happy to do some photos at Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum and the skyline view near North Ave Beach. One of Billy’s passions is Nike shoes hence the incredible “Just Did It” neon sign one of their friends made just for the occasion! Thank you Mary and Billy for having me be a part of your wedding day!!

Alison and Corey

Alison and Corey had their wedding ceremony at the end of November in the small town of Galien in Michigan. We started the day off with a quick first look and portraits before their guests arrived. Since it was cold out they said their vows inside the restaurant surrounded by all their family and friends. Since they didn’t need to do a room flip they went right into the lunch reception followed by toasts and a cake cutting. To top it off we went out to a Christmas tree farm for some seasonally appropriate holiday photos (and some with a onesie to include their baby-on-the-way). Double congrats to Alison and Corey!!

Maggie and Eric

Maggie and Eric got married this past October in the Fragrance Garden at the beautiful Morton Arboretum. Rain threatened to pour down on us but that didn’t stop them from getting outdoors to do all their portraits and to keep the ceremony plan A on schedule. This couple was seriously fun to photograph. So much laughter, love, and positivity throughout the day. The theme of their reception was, i kid you not, video games!! They even had mini arcade games at each table and Maggie and Eric duked it out with Street Fighter. I won’t mention who won. All the decor was hand made by the couple. Thank you to Maggie and Eric for having me be a part of their wedding day!!

Gabriella and Patrick

Gabriella and Patrick got married on a gorgeous sunny day in September. Their ceremony took place at the beautiful St. Elizabeth Seton Church in Orland Hills followed by bridal party portraits in downtown Frankfort. Their reception was held at the amazing Tuscany Falls in Mokena. Their day was packed full of special details and memories for us to capture. Some of my favorites were the first look with Gabriella and her bridesmaids, the groomsmen toast with the custom beer glasses, the champaign bottle with the bridal party on the fire escape, and their exit with bubbles out of the church. Congratulations Gabriella and Patrick!
