What better wedding to feature on this bitterly cold Chicago day, than Stefanee and Jorge's sweet Destination Wedding! These two had the right idea by escaping the cold and gray of Illinois and taking their wedding to Mexico! Of course, we were thrilled to be asked to capture their very special day -- and soak up the sun while there!

A week ago Stefanee and Jorge flew me down to Riviera Maya, Mexico for their wedding. I had such a great time being on the beach and hanging out with everybody!
My cousin, Paul, and his beautiful bride, Raelle, were engaged this past winter. After a whirlwind of events (and with the help of family) they planned and pulled together an adorable, intimate wedding in a matter of only 3 weeks! I was so happy that I was available for their day, and road-tripped down to Louisville with my little sister and my mom to photograph it!
Paul and Raelle had a beautiful day. The forecast looked a little iffy leading up to the wedding, but they ended up with absolutely amazing weather for their day.
They were married at historical Shawnee Park in Louisville. Raelle's grandfather performed the ceremony. The vows were short, sweet, and heartfelt. The laughter was genuine, and the company was unbeatable! All the guests had fun mingling, dancing and playing lawn games.

Earlier this month, Megan and Bill flew me and my good friend Ryan Timm out to Columbia, South Carolina for their beautiful southern wedding (with a Japanese flair!). We got there the day before, so Ryan and I had a chance to walk around downtown Columbia for some random shots.
When we arrived at the reception site (701 Whaley St.) Megan had decorated the whole place pretty much by herself! She actually folded 1,000 paper cranes including paper crane earrings for each of her bridesmaids. She was running around putting finishing touches to everything. I had a great time just photographing all of the little details she put together.
