What better wedding to feature on this bitterly cold Chicago day, than Stefanee and Jorge's sweet Destination Wedding! These two had the right idea by escaping the cold and gray of Illinois and taking their wedding to Mexico! Of course, we were thrilled to be asked to capture their very special day -- and soak up the sun while there!

Jake and I are so thrilled to finally share Ryan and April's destination wedding in Punta Cana with you. This wedding was so sweet, so genuine, and perfectly suited to these awesome people. We were absolutely honored to be a part of their celebration, and are so glad to be able to call them friends.
Early in the day we were threatened with rain clouds, but fortunately the rain never showed. Ryan and April had the sweetest first-look, and the moment captured between April and her Dad when he saw his little girl as a bride was just beautiful.
Their ocean front ceremony was sweet and heart-felt. The vows they wrote for each other were so lovely that I am not sure if there was a dry eye present.
We had so much fun doing portraits of the two of them that if there wasn't a delicious meal waiting for us, we would probably have photographed them all evening. We ended their portraits with April dashing into the ocean closely followed by Ryan.
Such a beautiful ending to a perfect day.

Our dear friends, Ryan and April, asked us to photograph their destination wedding in Punta Cana, D.R. and we were absolutely delighted {naturally}. Besides being one of our best friends, Ryan is also a very talented photographer, and the pressure was on! Fortunately for us, these two are very natural in front of the camera, and gorgeous to boot. So they made our jobs easy!
We never had a chance to do a proper Engagement Session stateside, so we took the opportunity while we were together to do a "Pre-Wedding Day Session" in Punta Cana instead.
We went to a little town outside resort and had so much fun just photographing the two of them. Ryan and April are an adorable and genuine couple, whose love for each other is immediately visible.

Earlier this month, Megan and Bill flew me and my good friend Ryan Timm out to Columbia, South Carolina for their beautiful southern wedding (with a Japanese flair!). We got there the day before, so Ryan and I had a chance to walk around downtown Columbia for some random shots.
When we arrived at the reception site (701 Whaley St.) Megan had decorated the whole place pretty much by herself! She actually folded 1,000 paper cranes including paper crane earrings for each of her bridesmaids. She was running around putting finishing touches to everything. I had a great time just photographing all of the little details she put together.
