Every once in a while I get asked to travel for a destination wedding and, even though I love Chicago, it seems to be a breath of fresh air to experience photographing in a different part of the world. Cindy and Noah asked me if I would be interested in traveling to photograph their wedding ceremony in New Orleans, Louisiana and I enthusiastically said “Yeah I would!”. Their ceremony and reception was held in a gorgeous bright and light filled loft called Marche right in the midst of the French Market with stunning views of the Mississippi River. The day started with rain but that didn’t get Cindy and Noah’s spirits down and everything cleared up by ceremony time and we were able go out into the Dutch Alley for some fun and candid outdoor portraits. Over the past few years it has been amazing getting to know Cindy and Noah as I’ve done their maternity, newborn (their son was born on my birthday, ha!), and family photos. Getting to photograph their wedding as well was extra special and I truly wish them the happiest and brightest future!
