Trisha and Martin

Trisha and Martin celebrated their marriage a few weeks ago in Oswego, IL at the amazingly rustic Emerson Creek. It was such a beautiful summer June day and the sun lit up Trisha and Martin’s faces as we did portraits around the property. They had a short but sweet ceremony with the corn fields as a backdrop. I had so much fun being a part of their celebration and wish them congratulations!!

Kathryn and Nick

Kathryn and Nick got married a couple of weeks ago in Lombard at the amazing Harry Caray’s restaurant. They had their ceremony and reception at the same place which makes things so easy. The day started with some getting ready shots at Kathryn’s parents house and then I took Kathryn and her bridesmaids downtown Downers Grove for some urban alley photos. Then I met Nick and his groomsmen for a few photos outside on the patio at Harry Caray's. After their sweet indoor ceremony we took a quick trip to Lyman Woods for some bridal party shots in the forest. Kathryn and Nick are such a fun couple and I was laughing along with them all day. This date was their second time rescheduling and their cake topper said it all: “About damn time”. Thanks Kathryn and Nick for having me capture your wedding day!!

Abby and Cole

Abby and Cole got married a year ago but their church wasn’t open at the time. Now that things are opening back up they were able to get into the Chicago Illinois Temple in Glenview to have their marriage recognized by their church. They asked me to take some portraits of them and their families right after their ceremony. It was so much fun to capture them as they walked out and to celebrate with them for an hour. Thank you to Abby and Cole for having me be a part of their celebrations!

Lindsey and Eric

I photographed Lindsey and Eric’s wedding ceremony at Company 251 last September and I finally got to photograph their reception at the same location the other week. It was kind of strange to pick up where we left off month ago but it was also wonderful! I felt like I got to relive their beautiful wedding day all over again. Also, I don’t usually get rest before the reception which sometimes I need and I feel like I got one really really long nap in after their ceremony. So I was all fired up and full of energy. I loved being able to join in the celebration of Lindsey and Eric’s marriage. Congratulations!!

Rachel and Keegan

Rachel and Keegan got married a couple of weeks ago at the beautiful Arrowhead Golf Course in Wheaton, IL. It was my first full wedding day of 2021 and I couldn’t have asked for a better couple to start my season off with! You could sense how in love Rachel and Keegan are with each other and it was my pleasure to capture their love in photos. It was a bit wet outside (typical of April to be that way) and it didn’t affect these two. They were just as happy as if it was a sunny dry day! Congratulations to Rachel and Keegan and I wish them all the happiness as they start married life together! -Jake

Special thanks to Nicholas Holstein for being my second photographer!
