Michelle and Luis

Michelle and Luis had the warmest Christmas wedding I’ve ever photographed. It was supposed to have happened in December but got pushed back a few months. I loved capturing every moment of it! The cookies and all their decorations were made by family members and friends. Their event started with some family portraits downtown La Grange followed by vows and an intimate ceremony before dinner at FourteenSixteen Restaurant. Their night concluded with parent dances. It was so nice to be apart of their evening and to photograph for Michelle and Luis. Enjoy the photos! Jake

Megan and Joel

I photographed Megan and Joel’s wedding this past July at the beautiful Brewster Creek Forest Preserve. Their day started at the Herrington Inn where they got ready. We did a first look in the courtyard and did most of the portraits around there. It was quite a warm summer day so it was nice to be able to duck in and out of the air conditioning at the inn. It rained briefly right before the ceremony to add some good luck and they were able to have their ceremony outside. It made me happy they included their pup in their ceremony! A huge thank you to Megan and Joel for having me be a part of their day!

Vicky and AJ

Vicky and AJ got married several weeks ago on a lovely and sunny summer day. Their ceremony took place at Old St. Pat’s Church in Lake Forest followed by a reception at Independence Grove in Libertyville. I loved all the thoughtful little details that Vicky put into her wedding but I especially love the bowtie on her dog Klaus and Klaus’ specialty drink at the reception. Vicky and AJ were so amazing to work for and I wish them a heartfelt congratulations!!

Lauren and Andrew

I’ve been looking forward to photograph Lauren and Andrew’s wedding for a couple of years and I am so excited to be showing a preview from their day! I did their engagement photos in 2019 and since then they had to make a few changes to their wedding plans and they welcomed a sweet baby girl into the world. They had their wedding at Lauren’s parents property and they transformed the place into a beautiful wonderland. To get to the ceremony site the guests walked along a forest trail and were greeted with cocktails. They then crossed the bridge where Andrew proposed to Lauren. Their ceremony was held under the most gorgeous floral backdrop made by Life in Bloom. Fortunately, Lauren and Andrew were able to say their vows and they got married right before the rain came. I had such a great time photographing their wedding!! Special thanks to Rachel Langlois for helping me photograph this event and it was so awesome to work with Melissa from Clementine Custom Events again.
