Julie and Jerome's wedding was one near and dear to my heart. As Julie's older sister, I was so excited for their wedding and was thrilled to play a role in her day as a bridesmaid.Few couples can claim that everything on their day went according to plan and was without mishap. But, I think even fewer people would find themselves in the position that Julie and Jerome found themselves in. The morning of their wedding, Jerome became very, very ill. Throughout the whole day my sister was so supportive, so full of grace and selflessness I was in awe. We carried on the day, hoping Jerome would rally in time for the vows that evening. But, when it came time for the guests to arrive, Julie decided to have the guests eat dinner first, without them, and that they would come in toward the end to say their vows in front of their family and friends. When Julie and Jerome came through the doors of The Boarding House, I don't think there was a dry eye in the house. They made it! As Jerome later said: "I refused to not get married that day." So, they had a beautiful and intimate ceremony, and were surrounded by their closest friends and immediate family. Julie was absolutely breathtaking in her BHLDN gown and holding an amazing bouquet of baby's breath by Fragrant Design. With a jaw-dropping, tear-jerking poem written and performed by our brother, Jimmy, the most beautiful vows and heart-felt ceremony and celebratory toasts, I can honestly say that this wedding was one for the books!
Please take a look at some of our favorite images from their day, and stay tuned for more photos of them as we are doing "wedding portraits" of them tomorrow!
