A blog of our current photography work.

Kathryn and Nick

Kathryn and Nick got married a couple of weeks ago in Lombard at the amazing Harry Caray’s restaurant. They had their ceremony and reception at the same place which makes things so easy. The day started with some getting ready shots at Kathryn’s parents house and then I took Kathryn and her bridesmaids downtown Downers Grove for some urban alley photos. Then I met Nick and his groomsmen for a few photos outside on the patio at Harry Caray's. After their sweet indoor ceremony we took a quick trip to Lyman Woods for some bridal party shots in the forest. Kathryn and Nick are such a fun couple and I was laughing along with them all day. This date was their second time rescheduling and their cake topper said it all: “About damn time”. Thanks Kathryn and Nick for having me capture your wedding day!!

Theodore's Newborn Portraits

I remember photographing Emily and Eric’s wedding in Indiana on the river so clearly. It was such gorgeous day and it felt so good to be there to photograph the love they have for each other. A couple of weeks ago they welcomed their baby boy into this world and I was thrilled they asked me to come to their home to capture this part of their adventure together. Congratulations Emily and Eric! Theodore is such a beautiful baby.

Abby and Cole

Abby and Cole got married a year ago but their church wasn’t open at the time. Now that things are opening back up they were able to get into the Chicago Illinois Temple in Glenview to have their marriage recognized by their church. They asked me to take some portraits of them and their families right after their ceremony. It was so much fun to capture them as they walked out and to celebrate with them for an hour. Thank you to Abby and Cole for having me be a part of their celebrations!

Tim and Julie

I love it when my couples plan to do photos at a location that is meaningful and special to them. Tim and Julie did their engagement portraits at Lilacia Park where Tim’s grandma was on the planting committee years ago. The lilacs were in full bloom when we were there and the sweet scent filled the air. And of course we got their puppy in some shots as well!
