Julie and Eric

Julie and Eric got married a few weeks ago at the rooftop cupola at London House downtown Chicago. It was a sweet and intimate ceremony with just their immediate family and it was followed by a champaign toasts and photos around the city. Some of my favorite pictures were with their puppy at Lincoln Park. Their reception was held at the fabulous restaurant Gibsons Italia right on the Chicago River with all the buildings lit up at night as the backdrop. Thank you Julie and Eric for having me be a part of your wedding day!

Michelle and Luis

Michelle and Luis had the warmest Christmas wedding I’ve ever photographed. It was supposed to have happened in December but got pushed back a few months. I loved capturing every moment of it! The cookies and all their decorations were made by family members and friends. Their event started with some family portraits downtown La Grange followed by vows and an intimate ceremony before dinner at FourteenSixteen Restaurant. Their night concluded with parent dances. It was so nice to be apart of their evening and to photograph for Michelle and Luis. Enjoy the photos! Jake

Elizabeth and David

A few weeks ago I had the honor of photographing Elizabeth and David’s wedding at Lacuna Artist Lofts in Chicago, IL. I knew I was going to have alot of fun at this wedding when the bridesmaids were dancing through the whole getting ready part of the day. Everything just got better from that point on! We did portraits downtown Chicago on the LaSalle bridge and the south gardens at the art institute. Their outdoor summer wedding was held on the rooftop of Lacuna with the Chicago skyline set as the backdrop. The positive energy during the reception was incredible as the best man and maids of honor gave their toasts and the dance floor was full of intense dance moves. I had a blast being a part of Elizabeth and David’s wedding and can’t wait to show them all of their photos! -Jake

Karina and Evan

Here’s a preview from Karina and Evan’s wedding that took place a few weeks ago in Aurora, IL. The day started with a downpour (for good luck!) that thankfully stopped right before the ceremony and stayed away for the rest of the day. They had a beautiful Catholic ceremony at St. Rita of Cascia. Sometimes church ceremonies can end up being on the serious side but this one was full joy and laughter! Their reception was held at Blackberry Farm’s new wedding venue. I’ve been to Blackberry Farms with my kids many times and I have so many good memories of being there. I was excited when I first met Karina and Evan and they told me where the venue was…I knew it was going to be an amazing place to have a reception! I got so many great shot of people having fun on the carousel and playing games throughout the evening. It was a blast! Thank you Karina and Evan for having me capture it all! -Jake
