Molly and Nick

I spent a couple of hours the day after Christmas with Molly and Nick to photograph their intimate living room ceremony in Berwyn. It was just their parents, siblings, and dogs as the witnesses. I loved that she walked down their stairs with her dad and right into the living room. Afterwards, we did some portraits in front of their Christmas tree followed by a champagne toast outside using her grandma’s glasses. We finished up with some more portraits of Molly and Nick just down the street at Proksa Park and in front of their home. The December sun was shining just as bright as Molly’s smile and I’m so happy that was there to capture their wedding story!

Archibald Family

I just wanted to give a big thank you to Molly Archibald who made a donation to Second City Canine Rescue at this years gala for some holiday portraits with us! We did a bunch of Christmas photos in their living room before we braved the cold to do some outdoor photos with their pup. If you are looking to adopt a dog this winter go to their website. If you want to support SCCR’s mission of saving the lives of dogs you can make a donation here.

Buonavolanto Family

I just wanted to give a huge shout out to the Buonavolanto family who purchased a family session with us in support of the DuPage Senior Council’s Meals on Wheels program. Meals on Wheels delivers single serving meals to seniors in the area that are home bound. This program is not just about delivering a meal it’s also about connecting with seniors and providing a wellness check. These connections are especially important this year with the pandemic as they are high risk and they become even more isolated because of it. Please consider going to their website and making a donation in support of this program. Thank you the the Buonavolantos for making a donation to Meals on Wheels and having me take their holiday portraits! -Jake

Adelman Family

The other day I did some family photos for the Adelman family in Chicago. This year they wanted to get the city skyline in some photos so we met a Belmont Harbor. It was a perfect sunny late November day (even if it was a bit chilly). I always have a great time photographing the Adelmans!

Hannah and Sam

It’s getting cold out there but I’m still doing portrait sessions! Hannah and Sam took advantage of the beautiful November sunlight and met me at Ty Warner Park for a few engagement photos. I think their intention was really just to get some photos with their new fur baby Walter. It was great to see Hannah and Sam (and meet Walter) and I can’t wait to photograph their wedding next December at Revolution Brewing in Chicago!
