Emily & Pat

Emily and Pat were such a joy to work with. Their early April wedding at Floating World Gallery was absolutely heartwarming and full of love and laughter.

We loved their first look, and how Pat absolutely lit up when he saw his bride walking toward him. Of course, we were thrilled that they included their dog, P, in their celebration!

Every last detail was so lovingly curated, and we appreciated their attention to every aspect of their day.

Emily and Pat, Thank you so much for letting us be a part of your day. Thanks also to Jamie Engelhardt for being my second photographer.

David and Tayler

David and Tayler had a beautiful, Spring wedding in downtown Geneva, a couple of weeks back. Weather looked iffy leading up to their big day, but they ended up with an incredible March afternoon! David and Tayler got ready at the historic Herrington Inn, and had the sweetest first look. David couldn’t keep his eyes off of his stunning bride, and we loved the way his entire face lit up when he saw her walking toward him

We had so much fun doing portraits along the beautiful Fox River, and their bridal party was so fun to be around!

Their ceremony at Riverside Receptions was beautiful and heartfelt, and the florals by Kio Kreations that were along the aisle and draped the Chuppah, were stunning! We love that they had a friend act as their officiant, and the music they chose was spot-on!

Their reception was filled with laughter, great food, dancing and incredible music; provided by the lovely and talented Rachel of Toast & Jam!

David and Tayler, we are so glad you asked us to be a part of your beautiful day. It was truly an honor.

Marionne and Juan

Marionne and Juan had a gorgeous winter wedding at Company 251. It ended up being a really cold and snowy day but we braved the weather and sneaked outside for a few quick shots. Their intimate ceremony was held on the first floor where their dog, Henry, stole the show as the ring bearer. After a few cocktails everybody went upstairs for the reception. While the guests were eating, the first floor was flipped and fitted with a collection of mirror balls for the dancing. The effect was stunning and made for one of the prettiest first dances we’ve seen. Congrats to Marionne and Juan on a beautiful wedding, we are so excited for you to welcome your baby this coming spring!!

Emily and John

Emily and John got married on a snowy January day at the Carleton hotel in Oak Park. Emily’s brother drove us to Pleasant Home which is the perfect location for portraits on a cold day (think roaring fireplace!). After we did some portraits we took a quick detour to a spot under the train tracks to put up a lock with their names on it and then took a quick stroll in the snow outside of the portraits. This was all before their ceremony in the Carleton!

I grew up down the street from Emily and have memories of going over to play at their house as a kid. They also took one of our puppies when our dog had babies! It was so great to reconnect with their family and see a bunch of people from Ottawa.

Congratulations to Emily and John!

Kim and Mark

Kim and Mark got married this past weekend at the Seville in Streamwood, IL. It was a gorgeous and sunny January day and we were able to hit up a ton of outdoor locations including Hoosier Grove Park, Bartlett Park, Bartlett Train Depot Museum, and a church we happened to pass with an amazing red door. They had their ceremony at the Seville with a reception immediately after the fastest room flip I’ve seen. Their flowers were made by Blooming Flowers, the music was by Howl at the Moon, and their transportation was by American Coach Limousine. It was an incredible day and I can’t wait to show them all the photos!
