Hollee and John

We were so thrilled when our good friend, Hollee, asked us to photograph her wedding that took place a few weeks ago. Hollee and her husband, John, had the sweetest ceremony, surrounded (literally they were in the center of all their family and friends) by everyone they loved. I’m fairly certain there wasn’t a dry eye in the house when they were finished saying their vows.

We loved all the sentimental details of their day, and how they really made sure that their wedding reflected who they are as a couple. We also love that they incorporated photos of their pup, Cooper, who Hollee adopted from us almost 10 years ago when he was a just a little puppy!!

Hollee and John, congratulations on a beautiful day. If we were giving an award for the couple with the most beautiful smiles, you two would win that hands-down. Thank you for letting us be a part of your day. We are so happy for both of you.

Hollee, Happy Birthday! Enjoy the sneak peek.

Katie and Mark

Katie and Mark got married in Chicago a few weeks ago at the gorgeous Assumption Catholic Church and had their reception at the amazing Ignite Glass Studio. The weather was slightly on the erratic side with lots of wind and a bit of hail but that didn’t stop Katie and Mark (and party!). After they got married we hit up a few spots around the city for portraits. We went to the Kinzie Street Bridge, Chicago Board of Trade, and finished up at Ignite. They were such a great crew to hang out with! The reception and all the details were coordinated by the exceptional Kim Weinberg of Liven it up Events. Huge thanks to Nicholas Holstein for photographing with me. Enjoy a few of my favorite pictures from their day!

Stephanie and Sean

Stephanie and Sean had a beautiful Fall day for their wedding a few weeks ago. We were so happy to be a part of their sweet wedding, and really enjoyed being able to be swept up in all the fun of their celebration.

They were married at the St. Maria Goretti Church, in Dyer, IN and following their beautiful ceremony, they had a reception at the White Hawk Country Club in Crown Point. All of their flowers were designed by Stephanie’s uncle, and everything was absolutely stunning.

Please enjoy a few of our favorite images from their day!

Amanda and Joe

Amanda and Joe got married a couple of weeks ago at one of our favorite venues Warehouse 109. This couple has an amazing sense of style! When Amanda hung up her wedding dress I was speechless and immediately got to work photographing all of their wedding details (including a peanut butter and jelly cake). We did a bunch of portraits at Lake Renwick Forest preserve and they brought along their perfect blue pit named Rosie. Rosie was also their flower girl and sat quietly while their mom and dad got married. Dinner was made to order out of a food truck and their dancing was set to the backdrop of a wall of vintage motorcycles. It was such an incredible day. Congratulations to Amanda and Joe!!

Kara and Brian

Dogs, beer, and Pictionary. Kara and Brian’s wedding was one of the most fun days I’ve been a part of! Brian owns Sister Lakes Brewing so my day started with the guys drinking craft beer and then I met up with the girls who, instead of getting their hair and makeup done, were having a dance party in robes. We did a first look at Kalamazoo College where we did a ton of photos with their dog (who made it into the reception night as a cardboard cutout). After portraits we went to the Kalamazoo Institute of Arts to get ready for their ceremony but by “get ready” I really mean a quick game of Pictionary. Their art gallery ceremony was concluded with a unity beer that was infused with basil grown in their back yard. The beer at the reception was flowing by none other than Sister Lakes and Kara and Brian’s intro and first dance was done as the Blue’s Brothers. I don’t know how they fit so much awesome into their day but I’m happy they chose me to capture it all!
