A blog of our current photography work.

The Rynn Family

The last time I photographed the Rynn family they were still expecting their second child. Time doesn’t stand still and it’s already been a year since I did those photos! It was great to meet their littlest and to get her in some photos, too. I’ve been able to witness both of their daughter’s cake smashes now and it warmed my hear to hear that their oldest likes to look at all of her baby photos from past sessions.

The Casey Family

We’ve been blessed to be photographing so many wonderful families in the past couple of weeks and feel very grateful each and every one of these sessions! I met up with the Casey family in a little park in Lombard which had some pretty wildflowers and a cute little pond we used as the backdrop. I enjoyed taking their family portraits and following them around as they explored and had fun together! -Jake

The Elsass Family

I think I’ve done four sessions for the Elsass family now and every session is alot of fun! I met with them at Ryerson woods because it had a good mix of backgrounds to use. The kiddos were getting a little tired by the end of the session but I worked my magic and got alot of smiles out of them! Here’s a few of my favorites from their session! -Jake

Family Portraits - the Tottens

We photographed Emilie and Bo’s wedding way back in 2012 and since then we’ve been in their lives in one way or another. They adopted our foster cats Jimmy Sprinkles and Magnolia, had us do their maternity photos, and then baby photos. The other day they had me come out to their home to get some updated family portraits now that their kids are a little older. We love working with the Tottens and adore their family!

Thapar extended family portraits

I’ve done several photo sessions for Mala and Nitin over the past couple of years and I always love working for them! Right after our most recent session in June they invited me to come do Nitin’s extended family portraits a few weeks later. It was so much fun hanging out with their family and getting photos of all the different group combinations. Thanks to the Thapar family for having me make these portraits!!
