Lisa's Family

After what seemed like a freaking long winter (and I’m saying this as it’s snowing outside in April) it felt so good to get to the park for some family portraits in the sun last weekend! Message me if you’re considering doing some family portraits. I also do maternity and newborn sessions among other things. Thank you so very much to Lisa in hiring me to photograph her family!

Amanda and Dave

My heart fills with joy when I see a couple who love each other so much that they laugh and smile throughout their wedding. Amanda and Dave were like that. The whole time they were having fun and it was evident that they were so happy to get married. Their wedding took place a couple of weeks ago at the fantastic Bartlett Hills Golf Club. It’s a perfect place to get married at. Huge thanks to Amanda and Dave and their wedding party who stuck with me for a bunch of portraits out in the wind and had a good attitude the whole time. I can’t tell you how much I appreciate a group of people who are having fun and listen to my directions. Such a good wedding and I wish Amanda and Dave all the best as they enter this new chapter in their lives. -Jake

Emily and Dominic

Congratulations to Emily and Dominic! They got married a couple of weeks ago at a really fantastic venue called Brix on the Fox in Carpentersville. It was a bit windy but at least it was warm for March. We made the best of the weather and their wedding party knew how to have fun. I had such an amazing time spending the day with Emily and Dominic and am excited to share some photos from their wedding! -Jake

Alexa and Caleb

Cradled by the snow,

Ice and wind…

Winter chill keeps us close

By the fire

Of our heart’s desire.

I photographed Alexa and Caleb’s wedding a couple of weeks ago in Wheaton, IL. Their ceremony was held in the beautiful Gary United Methodist church followed by a reception at the classy Moment on Main. I had so much fun braving the blizzard and doing some crazy photos out in the snow and wind as we walked down the street after they got married. I couldn’t have asked for a better way to experience a winter blizzard than celebrating with Alexa and Caleb!
