I’m so excited to share some photos from Nick and Madeleine’s wedding day. It took place a couple of weekends ago on beautiful November Friday afternoon. After a first look and wedding party portraits at one of my favorite places, the Morton Arboretum, we took a trolley ride to their Chicago wedding ceremony at St. Michael’s Cathedral. Their nuptials were followed by a reception at the lovely Carlisle in Lombard. I had an incredible time photographing their wedding and I wish Madeleine and Nick a heartfelt congratulations!

Becca and Zach
Surrounded by the beauty of autumn, Becca and Zach said their wedding vows and exchanged rings at the lovely Arrowhead Golf Club in Wheaton, IL. It was sunny and, while it was a bit chilly, we took advantage of the scenery for a ton of wedding party portraits. Huge thanks for everybody being good sports about it! Congratulations Becca and Zach! I can’t wait to share the rest of your photos with you. Special thanks to Nick Holstein for helping me photograph their wedding! -Jake
Bridget and Kevin
Bridget and Kevin’s wedding ceremony took place on a lovely October afternoon at a gorgeous Catholic Church in Chicago called Immaculate Conception. I love that they walked out of ceremony to someone playing bagpipes! Their reception was held at the super classy Loews hotel in Rosemont. Bridget designed everything and it was really cool to see her vision come to life. Thank you to Bridget and Kevin for having us photograph their day and big thanks to Nick Holstein for being my second photographer!

Autumnal bliss
Reaches out and ties our hearts together
Burgundy red, canary yellow, and clementine orange
Colors that captivate our senses
We let them fall
And caress the ground
Now, we rest a bit as we start our lives anew
Rich with the blessings of our past
The future is bright with our love
Bliss autumnal
McKenzie and Quinn
McKenzie and Quinn got married last month on a gorgeous September afternoon on the expansive grounds of the Thornhill Center at the Morton Arboretum. Everything was perfect and what a wonderful group of people it was to work for. It couldn’t have been any better! The trees at the arboretum held McKenzie and Quinn in their boughs as they exchanged their vows and started their lives together as a married couple. I wish them all the best!
