Journal

A blog of our current photography work.

Elizabeth and Bobby

My heart skipped a beat

When I saw you walk down the aisle

Held in the arms of God and the angels

Our love rings true

Speaking of rings

You have mine and I have yours

I give to you

You give to me

When we walk out of the church

We walk together

Sailing down the river of foxes

We gather at the inn of herrings

To celebrate our love eternal

With so many blessings

Annie and Jeffrey

Visions from the ether

Rise up and meet us

Make a bridge to our hearts

Our love is true

In the city of winds

Near the lake that is an ocean

We say our vows

We sing our song

“Our love is strong

Our love is tender

Our love is deep

Our love lasts”

Crossing the bridge

Into the future unknown

With the stars as our witness

We have each other

Always

Chris and Bud

A couple of weeks ago I had the pleasure of photographing the wedding reception for Chris and Bud. They got married earlier in the year and then decided to have a BBQ reception event for their friends and family at the Friendship Park Conservatory in Des Plaines, IL. I got there early to scope out some great places for photos and started the evening with portraits of Chris and Bud. I’m so grateful that we beat the rain and even had an opening to do a giant group photo outdoors. I had such a lovely time photographing their evening and capturing so many candids throughout the event.  Thank you Chris and Bud!!

Rachel and Mike

Sun sparkles through treetops that sway

Time slows with a stillness

And a hush

The walnut grove is sacred

And holds the space while

Two ancient souls play

We celebrate

And build a wishing well

On the family farm

With a thousand and more wishes

To the happiest pair,

Rachel and Mike
