Nicki and Eric

The other week I did some engagement portraits for Nicki and Eric in Chicago. We started at their home so we could get some photos with their cute pup and their blind cat. Their dog sat and smiled for the camera but, unsurprisingly, their cat did not care so much to have her photo taken! After getting their animals in some shots we went down the street to Humboldt Park to get some outdoor scenery. It was a bit on the warm side but the lagoon offered some shade from the sun and some pretty wild flowers. Here’s a few of my favorites from their session! -Jake

Engagement Portraits - Rachel and Keegan

For a while this summer it was blazing hot and it cooled off just in time for Rachel and Keegan’s engagement photos at St. James Farm in Wheaton. It was the perfect evening for portraits. I was so happy when I learned that they were bring their rescue pups Withers and Alfred to be a part of their session. Special thanks to Rachel’s sister who help wrangle the dogs when they weren’t in the photos and for getting Rachel and Keegan to laugh. I have a feeling I’m going to have a great time at their wedding in April at the Arrowhead Golf Course! -Jake

Engagement Portraits - Maggie and Eric

A couple of weeks ago I did Maggie and Eric’s engagement photos at St. James Farm in Wheaton, IL. They were looking for a mix of natural and rustic beauty and this location was perfect for that! It was great getting to know Maggie and Eric and I’m looking forward to photographing their wedding in October of 2021 at the Morton Arboretum! -Jake

Engagement Portraits - Molly and Michael

We always love when our clients include their pets during their photo sessions. Molly and Michael volunteer for Second City Canine Rescue so of course they had their dogs in a bunch of their photos! I even got some great solo photos of each of them. Molly and Michael were so much fun to photograph and I can’t wait to capture their wedding in October 2021.

Proposal - DeAnna and Alyssa

The other day I met DeAnna and Alyssa at Grant Park for a few couples portraits. They had been together for 3 years and DeAnna had plans to propose to Alyssa during the photo shoot. We made a plan that we would start doing some couples portraits and then a few individual headshots and halfway through DeAnna would bring out the ring. It went quite well and I was so happy to be there to photograph it all! Congratulations DeAnna and Alyssa!
