I'm finishing up my cousin's wedding photos and wanted to get a teaser up. We made a quick stop at the Ottawa carnival for some portraits. I love how the popcorn stand matched Emily's flowers!

Stephanie and Eric's Wedding
Stephanie and Eric were married in Springfield, IL over Memorial Day weekend. Correct me if I am wrong, but I think there were record-breaking temps the day of their wedding! Jake and I know Stephanie from way back in our days at ONU. She is a beautiful, sweet spirited girl, with a contagious smile and one half of the dynamic-duo known as "The Suprenant Twins".
When Stephanie contacted us about doing their wedding, and engagement photos we were thrilled! We knew that their wedding would be beautiful -- and it did not disappoint. She had so many DIY details, and pieces commissioned from artist's on Etsy. She also rented some incredible umbrellas from Bella Umbrella in Seattle and had them suspended them from the ceiling of their venue. Their day was a work of art, and it radiated love.
We began the day at a salon where the girls had their hair styled by the talented ladies of Studio 6. Mary LeRoy worked her make-up artistry and everyone walked out of there looked absolutely gorgeous.
We were able to take some photographs (without completely melting) at a nearby park, as well as the old Capitol Building in Downtown Springfield.
Their outdoor ceremony at Erin's Pavillion was beautiful, intimate and heartfelt. Stephanie had the rare opportunity to have her Great Grandmother walk her down the aisle and her friend, Tara Beth, played both bridesmaid and officiant.
Jake and I were thrilled to be a part of their day, and are excited to show you a small peek at their wedding:

Amy and Mark's Wedding
Amy and Mark were guaranteed, by a reliable source, that they would have perfect weather on their wedding day. And perfect weather it was.
They were married at the beautiful St.Gregory the Great Church in Chicago.
After their sweet ceremony, we ventured over to the Columbus Park Refectory and let me tell you, that place is awesome! The Spanish influenced architecture is absolutely amazing. Also, all the blues in that place really played well with the incredible... let me say it again... incredible floral and event styling by Hello Darling. Amy had a subtle peacock theme throughout the wedding, and it was pulled off so elegantly by Natalie of Hello Darling, and her entire team (they also have a blog post about this wedding here).
Amy and Mark's food was catered by Blue Plate. They did a fantastic job. I particularly enjoyed their presentation of the hors d'ouvres. Let me say, however, that the gelato cart that wheeled in at the end of the night from Black Dog Gelato is the dessert to beat this year. I know it's early in the Wedding Season, yet, but ladies and gentlemen -- I need to find my way over to one of their two locations in the city and get some more!!
Now that my mouth is watering just thinking of that gelato, please take a peek at Amy and Mark's beautiful day:

Karoline and Dave's Wedding
Karoline and Dave had a simply stunning wedding. They started off their day, getting ready at the Herrington Inn in Galena. From there we shuttled over to the Japanese Gardens for a few portraits. The entire bridal party was a delight to work with and stood their ground, even though a grounds worker tried chasing us off the property ;)
They had their wedding ceremony at Baker Memorial Church in St.Charles. It was an amazing church and Karoline and Dave exchanged beautiful vows.
We finished off their day at Riverside Receptions where their wedding planner, Karolina, made sure everything went off without a hitch!
We were thrilled to be a part of their special day.
