Natalia and Steven's February Wedding

A couple of weekends ago I photographed the marriage of Natalia and Steven.  Their wedding was at this really cool old Navy Chapel called Schram Memorial Chapel in Glenview, IL.  This chapel let in so much natural light!  Natalia and Steven even braved the chilly February weather for a ton of portraits outside.  After the portrait session we made our way to the reception which was at the Naval Base at Great Lakes.  I shot their wedding with a little a digital and a little of my analog cameras (the Hasselblad, Valiant, B+W instant film, Contax G1, and the Nikon FM3a).  I had a great time at their wedding.  Check out some (alot!) of my favorites from their day:

Emily and Paul

About two weeks ago I had the pleasure of photographing Emily and Paul's January wedding.  They got ready at the Hyatt Lisle and were married in the Ginkgo Room at the Morton Arboretum.  They had such a beautiful wedding and all of their details were handmade.  Paul designed all of the table settings and Emily made her bouquet out of different brooches.  I had a wonderful time spending my day with them and I appreciate their willingness to be outside in the freezing cold! There were so many photos that I wanted to show but here are some of my favorites:

Kim and Dan-Morton Arboretum

Last Saturday Kim and Dan were married in the Ginkgo Room at the Morton Arboretum and they had me come out and photograph it.  We ran around in the cold for a while to take some winter portraits and then jumped inside of the Thornhill Education Center for a few more in a warmer climate.  Thanks for having me photograph your wedding and enjoy the photos!!

Ashley and Evan's New Year's Eve Wedding

I had the pleasure of spending my New Year's Eve with Ashley and Evan as they got married!  Their wedding was at St. Martin's church in Kankakee which is right next to Small Memorial Park.  Thankfully the rain (and tornadoes!) held off and we were able to take advantage of the unusually warm weather.  After the ceremony we also had the chance to photograph in the Frank Lloyd Wright home in town which is just completely amazing!  You guys were wonderful to work with and I hope you enjoy your pictures. -Jake

Happy New Year! This past year we were so blessed to work with so many beautiful and amazing brides!  I just spend the past several hours combing through each wedding we did and chose a portrait of each bride we photographed.

Thank you to each one of you for making this an amazing year for Two Birds Photography!  We are so fortunate to be doing what we love and with such fantastic clients!

And now, in order of their wedding dates, here are the 2010 Two Bird's Brides!!

Thanks again, and have an incredible year!
