Allison and Doug's Engagement

Now that it's springtime I've been doing a heck of a lot more portrait sessions.  Here are some photos of one of the first engagement sessions I've done this spring so far.  And honestly I've been extremely lucky to be scheduling these sessions on the nicer days!  Anyways, Doug and Allison are getting married in Florida this fall but wanted to get Illinois in somehow. So we walked around Lincoln Park and the lake front in Chicago taking their engagement portraits.  I cannot wait to be on the beach photographing their wedding! undefinedundefined

Katie and Dave's Chicago Engagement Session

Katie and Dave are getting married this May in Ann Arbor, MI and I'm totally pumped to travel out there for their wedding.  But in the meantime they came to Chicago for a few engagement photos.  It was supposed to be a super rainy day so I suggested that we start in the Garfield Conservatory.   Well, apparently you need to get a release from the park district to photograph in public park buildings so we got kicked out.  Haha! Which I'm actually totally cool with because the rain held off and we were able to go downtown Chicago for a few portraits.  All shot on film (except for the last two diptychs) I love the color and grain it gives me! It's something real which feels so good...

Jackie Bourg-Business Portraits

Jackie, one of the owners of the interior design store Brandys and Bourg, needed portraits for their new website.  We used their recently opened store for some environmental portraits.  If you ever need some new interior designing I suggest checking them out.  Their store is located in Burr Ridge, IL.  Here are a few of the portraits from our session:

Joanne and Nate's Engagement Session

The weather was kind of like today (i think it was like -20 degrees) but we still did our engagement session in Chicago!  Only we started indoors at the Garfield Conservatory, haha!  It was so hot in there my lenses fogged up and I had to wait until they adjusted to the humidity.  Seriously, it was like being in a jungle.  But anyways, Joanne and Nate are so in love and it was wonderful capturing a few shots of them together.  Im glad they chose to brave the cold weather for a few shots, too.  Granted we didn't last very long out there but I really like those photos.  Enjoy these shots from their session!!
