Brace yourselves for an outstandingly beautiful wedding (and many, many photos)!

Anna and Greg were married this past weekend, and we were honored to be a part of their day.  When we met them for the first time, we knew this was going to be a spectacular wedding – and we were thrilled when they decided we were a perfect fit for their day.  We were correct about their wedding being spectacular, by the way, every gorgeous detail was well thought out, and the day flew by!

We hired our good friend, Nicholas Holstein – who is a local photojournalist – as an extra set of eyes for this wedding.  We are so glad we did – his contribution to this wedding was priceless.  We are absolutely blown away by his images and the extra viewpoint he provided.

Anna and Greg were married at the Covenant Presbyterian Church in Chicago, and held their reception at the Congress Plaza Hotel on Michigan Avenue.  We started the day out at the Hotel and then went to a few sites around the city including the Art Institute and the Cancer Survivor Park.

The day ran smoothly and without any noticeable hitches, Anna and Greg were so laid back and easy to work with — it was an absolute pleasure to be with them every step of the way.

I had such a hard time narrowing down the images from their day, and I got a bit carried away.  Please click the button below to view all the photos — Enjoy!

Driving home after a sub-par dining out experience, Jake and I decided to redeem the evening by grabbing a few family photos in the quickly fading light.  We high-tailed it over to the field by Gar Creek in Kankakee and set up for a few shots.

Considering the heat and the fact that we were shooting at Gray’s bedtime – I am quite pleased with the results.  I love the soft lighting and the subtle colors…

Besides, could this little boy be any sweeter?

This gorgeous couple was married on a steamy, mid-July afternoon! The bride, Jeanne, is our Brother in Law’s sister, and she and her husband, Jason, were a blast to work with! I attended this wedding as a guest while Jake shot!  Of course, I ended up lugging equipment and helping set up a few shots, but I wouldn’t have had it any other way!  Jeanne and Jason were married locally at River Valley Christian Church in Bourbonnais and had their reception at the Bennett Curtis House in Grant Park!  It was a beautiful venue and we loved shooting there!

Here are a few images from their day!

You may recognize this couple as they were previously featured on the front page of our site and blog!  J.Lauren and Thomas are such a fantastic couple and we loved getting to know them during their fall E-session!  We were booked for their wedding date, but Ryan Timm stepped up to shoot their day for us!  We are always thrilled to get Ryan on our team and were once again blown away with the work he brought back for us.

Here are some of our favorite shots from their day:
